Three years ago, while I was continuing to learn how to take care of my mental health and rebuild from the inside out, a small idea started brewing. ☕️
The truth is, the idea for Stay Awhile Coffee actually began forming back in 2020 — during a time when the world felt uncertain and many of us were slowing down and reflecting on what really mattered.
That season planted a seed.
And on March 4th, three years ago, I finally decided it was time to march forward. I wasn’t fully there yet, but I knew I wanted to move in that direction.
What started as a tiny “little engine that could” has slowly grown into something powerful. And every step of that growth has been done with intention.
Stay Awhile Coffee has never just been about coffee.
It’s about slowing down.
It’s about connection.
It’s about building something meaningful — for myself, for my family, and for this incredible community.
What began as survival slowly became strength.
What began as hope became confidence.
And this business grew right alongside me.
Nothing we do is random. Everything is intentional.
• Specialty-grade coffee beans
• Ethically sourced partnerships with farmers
• Compostable packaging
• Small-batch roasting, roasted to order for peak freshness
• And now… coffee pods — because convenience should still come with quality and care
Growth matters. But growing with integrity matters even more.
My family has been part of this journey from the very beginning — labeling bags, taste-testing coffee, listening to my ideas, supporting the long nights, and celebrating every small win along the way. This business is woven into our home, our healing, and our belief that you can build something beautiful even after difficult seasons.
And then there’s this community.
The customers who became regulars.
The regulars who became friends.
The neighbors who chose local.
The people who shared posts, told their friends, and kept showing up.
You are the reason this little engine that could keeps growing.
Because of you, we’re expanding. Can you say “WHOLESALE!?”
Because of you, new products are always on the horizon.
Because of you, coffee blends are officially on the way.
Mental health will always remain part of this story. Stay Awhile was built as a reminder that slowing down matters, asking for help is brave, and moving forward — even one small step at a time — is still progress.
Three years of choosing to march forward.
Three years of intention.
Three years of resilience.
And year four?
We’re stepping into it stronger, steadier, and still roasting something special.
But if there’s one thing these last three years have taught me, it’s this:
Be honest with yourself and with others. Be vulnerable. And never be afraid to ask for help.
Life can be tough. There are seasons where simply getting through the day feels like a victory. But there is beauty in the struggle, too. There is growth in the hard moments. And sometimes all it takes is a conversation — maybe even over a cup of coffee — to remind you that you’re not alone.
No matter how hard things may feel, there is always a reason to keep moving forward… and always a reason to stay awhile. ☕️🤍
